What features are important for a backup camera?
There are so many different kinds of backup camera in the market, how can we tell which is good or you can use it with no problem?

- Resolution. It should be the most important data for a camera.
- Viewing angle. If you need to view wider, then choose a wider angle camera, but if it is over 149 degrees, the image shown on the monitor will be distorted more or less.
- Waterproof Grade. You may met such problem like there is fog in the camera causing blurred image on the screen, thus,a high waterproof grade back up camera will avoid such issues.(at least to be IP67)
- Lens material and layer quantity. For material, mainly two kinds: glass and plastic. Glass is better than plastic for sure, and more layers, better(usually 4 or 6).
- Shell material. Usually, metal shell is much better in quality, look and head dissipation.
- View Distance. Also, it is related to the resolution of the camera.
- Night vision effect. You may pay attention to the data of “Minimum Illumination”, the smaller the quantity is, the better the night vision effect.
- Installation method. Different cameras need to be installed differently, different vehicle is suitable for different installation, and people may prefer to different installation, too.
- With IR LEDs or not. IR LEDs mainly works at night, it can show image no matter what the brightness is around, usually, can only show black and white image. But vehicles are with reverse light usually, it is enough for most cameras especially for those with good night vision performance.
